How to Get There - The Federal Kuala Lumpur ( GWS2019 conference Venue )

The Federal Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city, surrounded by eight of the city’s most popular shopping malls. Adjacent to bbpark and Plaza Low Yat, the technology lifestyle shopping mall (or popularly known as the KL IT Specialty Shopping Centre) is right next door.

The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is only 1-hour drive or 70km away from the Hotel. 15 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, and other transportation services such as Light Rail Transit (LRT) and KL Monorail stations are just within walking distance.

Metered Taxi

Available at level 1 and 3 of the Main Terminal Building, the metered taxis offers an alternative for travelers to get around. Passengers have to purchase RM2 coupon prior to boarding these taxis.

Coupon  can be purchased at Airport  counters at:

Arrival Hall, Main Terminal Building

1. International Arrival Hall (just after Customs, before the public arrival area)
2. Domestic Arrival Hall (public area after Domestic Baggage Clearance)
3. Domestic Baggage Reclaim, Arrival Level

Budget Taxi Fares

  • RM3.00 for the first 1 KM or first 3 minutes
  • RM0.10 for each consequent 115 meters or consequent 21 seconds
  • 50% surcharge from 12a.m - 6 a.m

Express Rail Link Sdn. Bhd. operates both the KLIA Ekspres and the KLIA Transit lines, which connects the airport to the city centre, stopping at the KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT) in KL Sentral.

KLIA Ekspres

KLIA Ekspres is the fastest way to travel to the city, taking only 28 minutes in total. The train is equipped with comfortable seats, digital entertainment, wheelchair seat restraint, wheelchair-friendly washroom, and luggage racks.

KLIA Transit

KLIA Transit is a commuter service with 3 stops at intermediate stations:
1. Bandar Tasik Selatan
2. Putrajaya & Cyberjaya
3. Salak Tinggi

It departs every 15 minutes during peak hours, every 20 minutes during off-peak hours and every 30 minutes after midnight. Every trip from KLIA to KL Sentral, and vice versa, takes approximately 28 minutes of journey time.

Connect  Bukit Bintang MRT Station  via KL Sentral.
